It is our intention to support the native app when we deploy the new SSO solution, but don't hold your breath.
Its still not enabled by the looks of it. I don't get the mobile site when I use a browser and the Jive app still indicates the feature is disabled....

Nick, What URL are you using? If its just working on apple, we might need to get Roguen (Community Admin) to investigate?
Hi all, I will be take a look into this for specific details, but what I do know is that there is a native iPad app which does not require the installation of the mobile module. So Nick is correct, this is specific to iPad at the moment.
This is where I would would use the 'dislike' functionality if it existed.
Roguen (Community Admin) any word everyone else will get mobile access?
I haven't tried the app yet on my iPad, but it is NOT working on my iPhone 5!! If I am using the wrong url, please let me know(anyone?)
It'll be the next release of the Community before we have been able to test & release support for the mobile app. Stay tuned - we will have more details in a couple week once we're further along in our planning.

I still get an error "the community is not configured for Jive mobile access" using Android ...
This is very odd. Like I said, I tested this on my own android phone. Donna, it might be time to create a Jive support case for this one and see if they have any fresh ideas.
Could be my device, is there someone else that can test this on android ?

I've been accessing the Community using my Samsung GS4 since I joined about 2 weeks ago, without any issues. It doesn't matter what URL you use as https://community.hds.com is redirected/rewritten to https://community.hitachivantara.com/mobile/mobile-access.jspa#jive-activity or https://community.hitachivantara.com/mobile/mobile-access.jspa#jive-home depending on where it puts you by default upon login.
It works in both the built-in Samsung browser and Chrome. When you create a shortcut it uses a nice Hitachi-themed icon.

I'm not using a browser I'm using the native Jiveapp (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jivesoftware.mobile.nativeapp.android&hl=en)
It works for other communities including our HDS UAT environment.
Oops, my bad. Actually, I had a thought in the back of my mind to ask whether it was an app or a browser (the heading did say "app" but the discussion itself led me away from it for some reason). In any case, I'm installing it right now and will report the results.
Thanks for the detail there. I think the issue is the native app. We had to disable the ability to use this in production because it did not adhere to the SSO requirements that we had (we couldn't customize code for this).
So in production, the browser version is the only way.
How is the SSO solution looking?
It is looking....better. Work is underway, but replacing an entire SSO solution isn't too easy. Looking at a 2014 timeline but can't pin it better than that at this stage. Will update when I've spoken to the team.
