I think infrastructure matters. That is, neither software nor hardware alone can deliver an agile, persistent, resilient environment. It's how software and hardware coalesce to address application workload QoS that makes a difference. Abstracting out complexity is critical, ala storage virtualization, as well as simplified storage management with automation.
