I own a HD Heritage Softail Classic from 1992 and love the sound and good vibrations , it is cool and special
I used to rie one of these back oin the day - BSA Starfire - haven't ridden for a while but suspect my "mid-life crisis" Harley is out there somewhere!
I'm thinking about getting a little honda 250cc to learn on.
This is my risk management tool...it's a 2006 Suzuki GSX1300R (a.k.a., Hayabusa). Smooth ride and horsepower is never an issue. Favorite areas to ride are Highway 1 (costal highway) and Highway 35 (Skyline Blvd) in the San Francisco Bay Area.
My choice is the 2006 GSXR 1000 with a few minor modifications of course. Mostly ride Highway 9 above Saratoga and Skyline over to Alice's restaurant. Other than that, I do the occasional track day.
I am totally amazed at the power of the HDS Community. I have gotten to know some of my co-workers more since we launched the community than I have by being in the same physical location. AMAZING! The community really connects people.
I have wanted one of these for several years.
Yamaha XVZ1200 TD, 1986, called "Royal Venture" at the time.
Mine is black and currently not as shiny as this one, but still works fine.
I ride a 2007 Big Dog K9. I have been riding motorcycles and ATVs since I was a youngster. I enjoy riding the twisty roads out in the countryside. It is a great escape, just me, the road and the wind.
I ride a 2011 Harley Davidson Road Glide Custom on the great roads of New England and up State New York.
Honda NT700 - Fabulous all-around bike....even does compact gravel road when need be.
Just got back from 2 weeks on road from WA - BC - AK - Yukon. I love riding where there are hours of good road and the only traffic backup are due to buffalo.
No longer....but back in the day this was my ride.....had the bike for 15 years, prior to that I rode a Yamaha 650 Seca, love that shaft drive, and my first road bike was a Honda Hawk 450 twin....looked like a baby CB900.
Steve Shelvey: Mine first new bike was a 1989. Love it:
Preceded by a Honda VT500E:
Preceded by Honda CB200:
Preceded by my first bike, a Honda DT125 (image (c) Pierre-Luc Leclerc):
The '89 CBR 600 was followed by a 1990 VFR750 (my favourite)
Unfortunately it was stolen, so I replaced it with a1999 CBR600:
After that I realized that my capacity for excitement had outstripped my riding abilities and it was only going to be a matter of time before I ended up in a really bad place, so it had to go. (and that is when I moved into Lotus sports cars )
Lotus?! very nice.
The 1989 CBR picture to me is very unusual.....1991 was the first year for the CBR here in Canada, the 89/90 version was a 600cc Honda Hurricane, not badged with the CBR name, looked identical, but it wasn't until Miguel DuHammel won Daytona on the CBR that we ever saw one.....came down to me buying the CBR600 or the GSX750R.....long term I think I made the right choice....great bike for a lot of years.
I have a '99 Honda VFR, 800cc V4.
The roads are so bad now in the UK they i don't ride it too often now, but i love when i do, just the felling of freedom.
Last time I had a bike to ride was in 1980 and it was a 1971 Honda 600 Four ... a big bike for the young teenager I was then
Yes I do. I learned to ride at the start of this year to make my commute a little more predictable. I now ride a 2002 Honda Cb500 to work most days.
(It was almost clean for a whole day!)
(Please do not run over this man. )
Hondas seem quite popular among us.
GSXR 600 `03, I really enjoyed it riding at Jarama circuit.
Previously I owned a GSXF 650 '08.
Very cool. William Hamilton do you like?
Was going through some of my pictures this morning and found this. A 2002 RC51 SP2 (RVT1000R for the folks in EMEA) that I last rode at Laguna Seca a few years ago. Sold it not long after this picture. Amazing bike.
Is that you on the bike?
I own a Ducati S2R 800 Dark.
I own a few vintage Hondas... Here are a couple of the bikes that run... If anyone wants to ride the Sierra Nevada Foothills let me know!
The Show Bike
The Hot Rod Project
Vintage Dirt Bike
And just for fun!
Nice! Check this out Joe Ceccato and William Hamilton...
'12 BMW R1200GS, '74 BMW R90/6, '79 KZ440, + 3 KZ project bikes.
I am getting a bit carried away.
My wife and I share a 150cc Kymco scooter for short range commuting. Best thing is that in Melbourne you can park on any sidewalk at anytime free of charge. Makes it very attractive getting through traffic and then parking right at the door of your destination.
