Data Mobility is usually an umbrella term used to describe data placement within the IT infrastructure to optimize performance and efficiency for applications and underlying infrastructure (servers, storage) and to enable IT technology refresh. Typical products in this category are data (volume) migration, automated tiering and manual tiering. Managing data mobility processes is typically done with storage or infrastructure management software.
Michelle has it right, HDS offers Dynamic Tiering and Volume Migration. I would add that for effective data mobility management, Hitachi Command Suite adds policy-based control for these data mobility processes. HDS also offers Tiered File System and Intelligent File Tiering with it's HUS 100 Family and HUS VM storage sytems as well as content tiering with Hitachi Content Platform (HCP).
Mobility typically refers to device mobility or the ability to use apps on multiple platforms. You have probably heard the term BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). This a hot topic because enterprise IT is challenged to manage apps and content for many disparate devices (smart phones, iPads using IOS, Android OS, etc.). Users (employees, customers) have come to expect the ability to use multiple devices in and out of the workplace. Lines between work device and personal device are blurred, leaving enterprise IT with open issues and questions around information security. HDS offers HCP Anywhere, an enterprise file sync and share solution. This is an example where HDS is helping IT solve these dilemmas by allowing users secure access to content from "anywhere" they have internet connectivity.

Mobility refers to many things. It is a licensing option in HUS_VM, It is a tab in HCS etc.
Data Mobility is a concept. Technically both mean roughly the same thing. That is
a. where do you want to keep your data?
b. How do you want this data to be moved? (auto/Manual)
There are two solutions that we have here
- Use Dynamic Tiering
- Use Volume Migration.
