Could someone explain the purpose dynamic replicator? Already we have several technologies in replication, what is the unique feature of this?
Yes, there are agents on the source and target systems. Either a file level agent or a volume level agent (or both, depending on what you want to do)
There is also an appliance that sits at both sites at is a CDP and replication target, but it's just software.
Hi Kamalarajan S
It's CDP host based asynchronous replication that is application integrated and supports recovery and failover workflows.
So basically you can replication to dissimilar storage arrays, have multiple recovery points (allowing you to roll-back and forward between recovery points) and do some automation directly from the product (limited external scripting).
Cris Danci, Thank for this. Is there any special appliance for this or it's just a software that needs to be installed in the Source and Targets.
How about the connectivity?
All IP (hence the limitations to asyn)!
