Had this set on a P9500 to deal with a performance issue with external storage (EVA). Done understand what it does
SOM 927 is a Mode that requires GSC/HDS approval as well as a password. If you were directed to enable it at the request of HDS GSC, then they can provide details about that SOM for the issue that it is circumventing. Please call in on the Original Service Request that you had for the setting of the SOM and GSC will provide an explanation.
This SOM is only enabled when a Dump from the array shows a certain condition. It is not commonly used, and current microcode and Best Practices configurations make it not applicable to the majority of configurations. AFAIK it is only used with very slow external storage that is not improved by a compliant queue depth.
927 is not a public SOM. Did you mean 917 ?
No 927. Regarding CLPR behavior
As far as I know 927 requires GSC/HDS approval as well as a password. I would open a case by calling 8004460744
