We are using following types of disks on VSP.
200GB SSD, 300GB SAS, 2TB SAS, 3TB SAS.
Now how to get the information that these SSDs are flash drive or not? Please help?
All SSD drives are FLash drives
In SN you can get these information from the Parity or RAID groups, in case of HCS you have to browse the DP Pool, then to the RG.
Thanks for all reply.. I got my answer.
To add more detail, while all SSD drives are technically flash drives (and vice versa), there is a difference between traditional SSD drives and FMDs (Flash Module Drives). Not sure if that was your question, Mrityunjoy Kundu, but both types appear as SSDs in all reports. As far as I know, the only way to distinguish them is by a part number (in Configuration Report) or by capacity. FMDs start from 1.6TB, while the biggest SSD (last time I checked) was 800GB.
Yes I wanted to know the difference between SSD and Hitachi accelerated flash drives. Thanks for clarifying my doubt.
