As part of looking more closely at Business-Defined IT we're diving into how IT and business communicate to each other. I'm curious, what's your funniest or most memorable IT to Business miscommunication? How did it end?
My most memorable story is about a logistics database for a yogurt company with the term "FOB" that we all assumed indicated "freight on board." There was quite a bit or rework when it was discovered that for this client, FOB meant "fruit on the bottom" and was extremely important for tracking and reordering.
