Hi,
does anybody know if there is a Documentation about HNAS SyncDR avaliable?
Or maybe somebody can tell me what happens if the HNAS Cluster looses all ISLs.
Thanks!

-> HNAS SyncDR is a GSS service. documentation should be send to you after delivery.
Or maybe somebody can tell me what happens if the HNAS Cluster looses all ISLs.
-> ISL? do you mean ICC (Inter Cluster Connect)?
if ISL are down, True Copy will suspend the PAIREs
then, HNAS SyncDR will not work
if ICC are down, AND if the HNAS are able to communicate via the private network (by default 192.0.2.X), then File services will continue to work.
-> you cluster will be RED because if SMU reboot or if there is a brief "private" network outage, your cluster will be suspended (Split Brain).
We are using an older version of syndr named metrocluster. It requires a "heartbeat" like the syncdr product and if the heartbeat is lost, node 2 will reboot and continue to reboot to reestablish the heartbeart. We made the mistake of having some dev evs's on this node not realizing it would reboot when the heartbeat is lost.
metro cluster or syncDR are the same thing
in the first releases, name was "metro cluster".
when hnas mcode 11.X arrived, we changed the name (of the license) to SyncDR.
there are 2 heartbeat:
in every cluster solution: the ICC links (2x10Gbits/s) are necessary.
if ICC links are down or unavailable: it is not a real cluster.
