Hi all,

I got problem in my cisco MDS, my port is disable automatically. And this is log error from my MDS,

2014 Oct 15 16:12:16 MDS9222i-B %MODULE-4-MOD_WARNING: Module 1 (serial: JAF1548BFHB) reported warning on ports 1/1-1/1 (Fibre Channel) due to MAC Bit error exceeded threshold in device 63 (device error 0xc3f00503)

2014 Oct 15 16:12:16 MDS9222i-B %PORT-5-IF_DOWN_BIT_ERR_RT_THRES_EXCEEDED: %$VSAN 4%$ Interface fc1/1 is down (Error disabled - bit error rate too high)

2014 Oct 16 09:05:22 MDS9222i-B %PORT-5-IF_DOWN_LINK_FAILURE: %$VSAN 3%$ Interface fc1/2 is down (Link failure loss of signal)

2014 Oct 16 09:05:30 MDS9222i-B %PORT-5-IF_DOWN_LINK_FAILURE: %$VSAN 3%$ Interface fc1/3 is down (Link failure loss of signal)

2014 Oct 16 09:05:37 MDS9222i-B %PORT-5-IF_DOWN_LINK_FAILURE: %$VSAN 3%$ Interface fc2/7 is down (Link failure loss of signal)

And I read cisco manual, we can disable from disable automatically this port with command “switchport ignore bit-errors” anyone can tell me what impact from this command is? It will make disturb san switch?  Or any idea to solve this error?
