For PG data it does not seem to summarize properly. Shows 0 IOPS for several PGs that I know have some activity. Could it be because there are so many PGs the data wraps on itself in the CSV files? Anyone else have this issue?
There actually isn't a separate folder for DP pools or volumes. They are intermixed in the other categories, for example LDEVEACHOFCU > LDEV_IOPS. You can tell that a volume is DP volume if its LDEV ID has an X, e.g. 00:01:10X.
Clarification: the export CSV files called PG_busy_long.csv and PG_busy_short.csv show some % activity going on in several PGs (PG 1-1 for example shows avg 12% busy over a 3-day period). Yet when I look up that same PG in the PG_IOPS.csv it shows 0 IOPS for 1-1 for the entire time frame.
So the Peex tool is reading it right, but how could there be 0 IOPS for a PG that shows 12% busy? Could the Export tool have failed to gather the IOPS data? Or could it be the drive is busy but with something besides IOPS?
Are the volumes in PG 1-1 used as pool volumes? If that's the case, the IOPS metric won't be available. But you can look up IOPS for the DP volumes.
Thanks! I think they very likely are in DP pools but I don’t see a CSV file about the pools in the directory that gets exported.
Here’s a screenshot of all the folders with CSVs in them. Which folder would have pool info? I’ve never seen one.
Woops, the image did not come through on my last reply. I've inserted here:
