Hi

In server1 (Windows 2008), am trying to execute a snapshot relationship between a data device and a snapshot device(COW) from horcm1 to horcm2. When i do the paircreate of the devices, the horcm2 instance is getting stopped and the following error is showing up in the log file.

*********************************

CMDLINE : paircreate -g Test1 -IM1 -vl -m grp -pid 3

13:13:49-b8150-04012- ERROR:cm_sndrcv[rc < 0 from HORCM]

13:13:49-b8150-04012- [paircreate] R_RDCFG ERROR :rc = -14

13:13:49-b8150-04012- grpname=Test1 devname=Test1_COW

13:13:49-b8150-04012- [paircreate][exit(242)]

[EX_ENORMT] No remote host alive for remote commands or Remote Raid Manager might be blocked (sleeping) on an existing I/O.

[Cause ]:A time out occured on remote communication, and HORC manager failed to re-execute.

[Action]:Please confirm if the HORC manager in the remote host is running, and then increase the value of the time out in the configuration file.

Looks like the issue is with horcm2, remote replication is working between horcm1 of server1 to horcm0 of server2(Windows2008).

If i remove the entry for the new snapshot relationship in horcm1 and horcm2 files in server1, then everything is working fine. But we want to setup this snapshot relationship to complete the SRM replication setup using HUR.

Any help is appreciated.
