G400 Abnormal behavior

Hi All,

we are facing very abnormal behavior of G400 during the deployment

We have connected 4 FC ports i.e. 1A,2A and 3A,4A to the 2 X Brocade 8Gbps SAN Switch and properly zoned these ports with the host WWPN but on the host side sometime we are seeing three paths, sometime two paths instead of four paths and we have checked both HDS HDLM and Microsoft MPIO . In addition, during testing the transfer speed by coping large files from one HDS G400 volume to another HDS G400 Volume the copy process stuck and MPIO path failing error messages appearing in the Windows Events logs

In addition, the LUNs taking more than usual time to format on hosts, We are using Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2 for testing and We have mostly Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012 R2 in our environment.

We have purchased this G400 with 64GB cache but after the installing the Shared memory (as it is required for HDT and for Local replication) the cache size reduced and now it is only 14.5GB, is it the reason of abnormal behavior and the performance issues ?? As per the recommendation we have fixed the port speed on Storage and SAN SW and also set the recommended fillword.

Can any one help ??
