I want to implementation VMWare Virtual Volume (VVol), but when i seek SPBM (storage policy-based management) menu to create storage container, it does't found on HCS. any solution for this problem?
What versions are you using for these items:
* VASA Provider
* File or block? What product and their firmware?
Also, the SPBM menu is located on the HCS for VVols.
The HCS Administration Guide has good instructions for implementing VVOL with HDS storage/file.
* HCS version ? V.8.2.1
* VASA Provider ? v.03.2.1
* File or block? storage block
* What product and their firmware? VSP G200 firmware versions 83-02-01-20/00
capture my HCS web, the SPBM menu not showing. does it require an additional license ?
Additional licenses aren't required for VVOLs.
You have to drill into VMware (on the left hand side). It will show another link called VASA Provider for Block. You will find a button for creating storage containers.
