I need command for create LDEV from CCI. I have tried using document. But i am missing something. Please help me on this.
Thank You Very Much.
raidcom add ldev -ldev_id <ldevid> -pool <poolid> -capacity <size>
ldevid should be in format "string" eg "00:05:00:
poolid is the pool id of the pool, example 0, 1
size can be a number eg 20571520 means 20571520 block or 10g or 10000m etc
where g is gb and m is mb
Thank You so much for your reply. I will check and update you in the same chain. Thanks once agian.
Can you give some more information?
Is your command device set up correctly?
Do you successfully log in to the HORCM instance?
What was the RAIDCOM command you sent?
Do other RAIDCOM commands work, such as a "get ldev" command?
Thank You so much for your reply.
Paircreate and pairdisplay commands are working fine. raidcom command is not working and sometimes it gives permission issues.
I forgot to ask, but I'll assume this is on Windows
If you are using a physical command device (as opposed to an IP-based command device), then 'paircreate' and 'pairdisplay' commands will work without authentication. But 'raidcom' commands still require you to authenticate to the system. At a command prompt, you need to first run a 'raidcom -login....' command. That login will be good for as long as that command prompt window is open or until you run the 'raidcom -logout...' command. Here is an example if your horcm instance number was 9:
raidcom -login myadmin secretpassword -I9
raidcom add ldev -pool 0 -ldev_id 0A:2F -capacity 2048g -I9
raidcom modify ldev -ldev_id 0A:2F -ldev_name VMware_02 -I9
raidcom -logout -I9
If you're using an IP-based command device, you need to log in before running all commands (incl. paircreate & pairsplit )
Thank You so much Andrew for your reply.
