While using a TCPS connection, SEQUENCE transformation is throwing error as it is not able to generate next value. When modified the same ETL and used TCP connection, job is executed successfully. Can you please help us here? Are we missing any configuration? Did we missed applying any fix packs?

To provide some background: Earlier we were on version 5.0 where the jobs were working fine with TCPS connection as well. We have upgraded from 5.0 version to 9.3 version directly without applying any intermediate version packs thinking jumping directly to 9.3 will have all cumulative version packs.

    Below are the logs:

    2023/03/30 10:43:28 - seq_PARTY_PERSON_KEY.0 - ERROR (version 9.3.0.0-428, build 9.3.0.0-428 from 2022-04-12 04.56.25 by buildguy) : Because of an error, this step can't continue:

    2023/03/30 10:43:28 - seq_PARTY_PERSON_KEY.0 - Error reading next value of sequence [SEQ_PARTY_PERSON_KEY] from database

    2023/03/30 10:43:28 - seq_PARTY_PERSON_KEY.0 -

    2023/03/30 10:43:28 - seq_PARTY_PERSON_KEY.0 - Unable to get next value for sequence : UHIP_W2_DM_PRD1.SEQ_PARTY_PERSON_KEY

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response.

We were able to resolve the issue by analyzing the Pentaho libraries and downloaded GenericDatabaseMeta.java from GitHub and added customization to support the sequences.
