Hi,
In all the places where a sql is written I have the problem that appears in the attached image, in particular this is from a table input.
I tried with PDI 9.0, 8.3, 8.0.
I am on Ubuntu 20.04, I think the problem is here and not in PDI, some library.
Some clue? because I don't even know where to look.
Also i attached the console message without errors :S
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Gonzalo
Hello @Gonzalo Javiel,
Did you install libwebkitgtk-1.0?
Check https://help.pentaho.com/Documentation/9.1/Setup/Install_the_PDI_tools_and_plugins#Use_the_Pentaho_installation_wizard_to_install_PDI_client.2C_utilities.2C.0D.0A.09.09and_plugins

Yeap is installed, "libwebkitgtk-1.0-0 is already the newest version (2.4.11-3ubuntu3)."
@Gonzalo Javiel,
Take a look at this community post: https://community.hitachivantara.com/s/question/0D52S00007z8hSbSAI/pdi-spoon-throws-error-with-xubuntu-ubuntu-2004no-more-handles-because-no-underlying-browser-available-swt-on-gtk-2x-detected-it-is-reccomended-to-use-swt-on-gtk-3x-and-webkit2-api
On one of the replies, @Tony Johnson has the same errors showing on the log and he stated the changes he did for everything to work.
Thanks for the answer but i did that :S. Check the attach with my params
Also i tried with Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 in java options, but same result.
The same thing happens to me in kettle Options
I also tried commenting this line like the post of Tony
# export UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 but same result
Its not exactly the same problem because i don't have any error when i start it, really strange.
Thanks for the help
I found it!!!
The problem is incredibly in the font that ubuntu has, which did not recognize by Pentaho. I changed it for example to Sans and it worked perfectly. I don't understand how I didn't think about it before.
Thanks Sergio for your help
Great, good to know @Gonzalo Javiel!
And thank you for leaving this reply here; it can be helpful to someone else 🙂
