Kelly will continue to serve as Hitachi Vantara’s Chief Transformation Officer, leading the company’s enterprise-wide initiatives to drive its global growth strategy. Prior to his promotion, Kelly also served as Chief Human Resources Officer where he was responsible for all aspects of human resources at Hitachi Vantara.

Ryuichi Otsuki, the current CEO of Hitachi Vantara, will leave his role to take an expanded role for Hitachi, Ltd. as Deputy General Manager of Hitachi’s Corporate Sales & Marketing Group and Chairman of Hitachi Global Digital Holdings, the holding company for Hitachi Vantara, oXya and Hitachi Consulting. Otsuki will also serve as Chairman of Hitachi Americas. Under the leadership of Otsuki as CEO, Brian as President and COO, and Kelly as our Chief Transformation Officer, Hitachi Vantara has demonstrated strong performance as the premier partner to deliver enterprises value through data. In their new expanded roles, we expect to see even more growth in delivering to our double bottom line, growth in business and social innovation.

Leadership is an important function which helps to maximize efficiency and to achieve organizational goals. It has the potential to influence and drive the group efforts towards the accomplishment of goals. However, in order for leadership to be effective, it must be built on a solid foundation consisting of a clear mission, a vision for the future, a specific strategy, and a strong company culture. I believe that Hitachi Vantara has all these ingredients to help this leadership team to be successful.

We have a clear mission as the data arm for Hitachi Ltd, with a vision for Social Innovation, a specific strategy for driving results for customers from edge to outcomes and a recognized culture based on the guiding principles of Harmony, Sincerity, and pioneering spirit.
