Announcing UCP for Bare Metal

Announcing the latest release of Hitachi Unified Compute Platform (UCP) for Bare Metal. This solution provides a pre-integrated and pre-tested environment consisting of Compute nodes, switching nodes with prescribed topologies and the latest Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform E series (E790 and E590). It has as a pre-qualified set of operating systems and common hardware components which can be:
  • Packaged as an integrated system from manufacturing without the operating system or
  • Packaged as an integrated system from manufacturing with Operating Systems and common hardware components

Benefits

  • Simplify configuration process to order UCP for Bare Metal thus eliminating the current workaround employed (removing unwanted components).

  • Compute Nodes: Hitachi Advanced Servers DS120, DS220, DS225 and DS240
    • Components: Various RAID and SAS controllers, Intel NIC cards, Mellanox NIC cards, Emulex HBAs
    • Boot Options: PXE, SAN, Direct Connect, SATADOM, Local Disk
  • Networking Options: Cisco switches, Arista switches
  • Fibre Channel Switch Options: Brocade G620 switches with the latest FOS
  • Storage: Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform Enterprise (VSP5000) and E series (E990, E790 and E590)
  • TPM Enablement
  • Nvidia T4 GPU Enablement
