 LDEV Migration from one Pool to Another

Hello everybody good day,

I have a question regarding move a LDEV from one pool to another pool.

We have 3 pools in our VSPG1000, one of those is not critical but is now 99% full, my question is if its possible to migrate let’s say a couple of LDEV from the full pool to another in the same Array

 

I mean something like this:

Source Silver Pool                          Destination Gold Pool

LDEV ID                              →          LDEV ID

01:74                                                    01:74

 

I want to just migrate the LDEV but I’m not sure if:

1.- Can the Array do it?

2.- Can I do it Online?

3.- Can I migrate and keep the same LDEV ID?

If yes where can I found a document to look for it?

Any information is much appreciate.

1.- Can the Array do it? You have to intiate the migration task with HCS Mobility TAB

2.- Can I do it Online? Yes wih HTsM(License)

3.- Can I migrate and keep the same LDEV ID? Yes (When your intiating migration task you should select target pool with new Ldev id and once completed automatically you old Ldev ID become as it is in production and new Ldev ID will be released automatically by system itself)

If yes where can I found a document to look for it? Try to go with HTsM document for more details
