    I Guys,

    GO to Heak Check,

    Click on one Storage

Then click on the blue link of the storage you want :

Then, go down, you get the ADR report : As I have G1000 I do not have any data but with VSP 5600 you must find some information :

    Thanks and regards,

ON 5600 model , OPS 11.0.2, select on the storage array name / serial and look for "CONFIGURATION",  it shows all kind of information on the tables .

At the bottom of the page, it has "REPORT" to export out with PDF / excel format.  In the excel file (zip file), it has a table with Adaptive Data Reduction info.

If you are familiar to raidcom, use raidcom to show

     # raidcom get ldev -ldev_id   0xYYZZ   -key software_saving -I <instance number >

where YYZZ is the LDEV ID in hex.  The unit BLK is in 512 bytes per block.

    OPS Detail View :

    • select storage
    • Look for View at upper right hand corner and select CONFIG

    excel table:

    Hello,

Another method more direct is to go to the storage in the navigation pane and to select « View Configuration » in the right up corner of the windows :

    Hello Nino

To get ADR Statistics you need to configure the CMRest connection on the Probe. Can you confirm if it is configured?

If you login to the probe usually https://<ip>:8443/ You'll see the storage. If you click the hyperlink on the name of it you should see if it's configured. If not you'll have to stop the probe, configure it and then start the probe again:

    Hi William,

    thank you for your response.
That was a catch, with CMRest configuration.
In the meantime, I also received a response from a Hitachi engineer who send me instructions how to set it up.

    Hello Nino

That's good to hear! I'd appreciate it if you marked it as the answer for the next person that might run into the same issue :-)

Hi William.  So, what specifically needs to be done here.

"Stop the probe, configure it and then start the probe again".  What needs to be configured here on the Probe Server.  On CMREST Server Command Devices have already been configured as FCMode connection.  But what needs to be done here.  Below user also says that CMRest configuration was the catch, and Hitachi Support send him the instructions, but didn't mention what those instructions were and what exactly was done. Does this means another RDM CMD Device needs to be mapped to Probe Server and the configure it with something like /opt/jp1pc/bin/jpcsetup....  or /opt/jp1pc/tools/jpcinssetup etc.  And, if that is the case what to mention when it asks for  Command Device File Name.  Looks like another Command Device is needed for Probe Server as well here ?

    Thanks

    Hello Sudhir

The Probe must be setup, you can choose if you want to do it via command device or not. But if you want ADR statistics you'll need the CMRest server to be added as part of the probe configuration.

In this thread the previous OP hasn't configured CMRest. Only the probe to the server. My post to OP included a screenshot of the probe server and where to check if CMRest is already configured or not. If not, then it's important to stop, edit and add the cmrest server and then start it again should you need ADR stats.

Hi William.   Thanks.  That is what I want to know where to do that. I already have Probe to the Server and we get all performance stats and data(except ADR). Our CMREST communication is also fcConnection Mode.

And, the documentation tells to do this:

Collecting additional configuration metrics with Hitachi Configuration Manager,  we see the steps, but unable to do so. It says The Hitachi Configuration Manager server is configured for fcConnectionMode (in-band), which we already did. Then it says do this:
    1. Select the Collect additional configuration metrics check box, and then select the Hitachi Configuration Manager option.
    2. In the Hitachi Configuration Manager Details section, provide the following details and click Next:
      • Connection Type Choose HTTP or HTTPS.

But we don't know where this steps needs to be done. On Analyzer Detailed View or On Probe Agent Server, where, and how.

So after not hearing anything on this, I justed have opened a Support case. May be Support will give me that procedure like they gave to OP above.

    Thanks

    Hello Sudhir

Yes it's on the PROBE Server, that you need to specify it. Here is a screenshot of my probe server as an example. Usually https://<ip>:8443/.
Username and password you specify when you deploy it. But once you click stop on the probe you have the ability to configure it and add the CMRest settings to that collector.

IE Like this, once you click 'Edit' you'll see where it askes you the CMREST details:
