  • 1.  Change HIAA_REST_Admin user domain name

    Posted 03-17-2025 09:01

Our internal mail relay is blocking e-mails from unknown domain names. Recently I noticed that some ops-center related emails are blocked.

    NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from hitachi-ops-center.<out-internal-fqdn>[<ops-center-vm-ip>]: 554 5.7.1 <hitachi-ops-center@c<out-internal-fqdn>>: Sender address rejected: Access denied; from=<hitachi-ops-center@<out-internal-fqdn>> to=<HIAA_REST_Admin@example.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<hitachi-ops-center.<out-internal-fqdn>>

So somewhere is a user called HIAA_REST_Admin and its domain is example.com. How do I fix that? I can't find documentation, other than this user is automatically generated by analyzer detail view. Hitachi Vantara Documentation Portal

I looked through the UI and grep-d configuration files, but I could not figure out, where I can change that domain name.

    Hello

I would check here first in Analyzer(Since it use to be called HIAA):

It might also be Detailed view. You can go there by the top right 3xDots(in the above screenshot) .... Check below as well once in Detailed view. Under 'manage' and then 'Manage SMTP':

    Hey.

I checked them.  This particular sender (RCPT from hitachi-ops-center.<out-internal-fqdn>[<ops-center-vm-ip>]) is defined in analyzer detail view. Second screenshot from your reply. But I do not see where I can change the recipient domain (to=<HIAA_REST_Admin@example.com>). HIAA_REST_Admin user is nowhere to be seen in UI - neither in analyzer or analyzer detail view.

    Hello Mihkel

Could you perhaps post a screenshot. Also be sure to check with the sysadmin user. It often has other options available.

    Hello

You can check the following locations:

Each user has a private dashboard. So check your users in Ops Center common services. Might be that he he scheduled the dashboard:

Secondly it can also be an alert in Detailed view. If you login as sysadmin you can see all the scheduled alerts here:

If you click it edit, and check it for SMTP alerts. Should be in one of those that the Email is configured.

    Hi,

I think the email is a property of the user. To get them, connect to detail View with admin user (not with Ops Center SSO), then open Manager > Mange Users Section and you will see the users and their email.
