Hi All. We see an alert that ADR is disabled on 92 LDEVs.  We had enabled ADR long time back in Ops Center.  So, it is definitely enabled for lots of LDEVs, and we can see in graphs as well in Analyzer Detailed View: ADR Section

Now, how to identify those 92 ldevs which needs it enabled. How to do that with some cmrest command or some other way. Please advise.  Thanks.

Yes

If it's Thin it's non ADR. If it has compression or compression+deduplication it's considered ADR.

Enabling it depening on the model adds some overhead in processing. Most machines the CPU is low under 30% and then the impact is minimal but the efficiency gained is more. You can always turn it off again if it doesn't give you what you're looking for.

Hello

I think the easiest would be just to look on the array, you can also change or configure it on the same screen in HOC Administrator:
You can then also select all the volumes you want and select the little pencil to edit the ADR attribute to your liking.

You can do a report in Analyzer if you also like but I think the easiest to do it Administrator since you'll probably want to change it next as well :-).

Hi William.  Thanks for the information.  So, how to see ADR flag here.  Is it named ADR here or it will be these parameters like below:

So, Comp/Dedup/Thin are with ADR enabled.  And, only Thin are non-ADR onesThinkingSecondly,  what impact will be there if we change these parameters. And, any impact on performance. Is it online activity. Since Clear Sight advises to enable it on those ldevs to use the savings, so I guess it will be beneficial.  Thanks.
