Hi!

Hitachi themselve say they do not support S3 up to 100%. So they name their API HS3 or write "S3-compatible".

But I can't find an actual list/documentation about what is supported and what does not work with HS3.

How can I find out, what is supported?

Thanks in advance!

Regards

Christian

Detailed documentation on the S3 Compatible API is available in the System Help through the System Management UI , also you can refer to :Is there a summary list of HCP HS3 (S3 compatible) supported commands?

Christian - The HCP v8.1.2 API for AWS S3 documentation is available online: https://knowledge.hitachivantara.com/Documents/Storage/Content_Platform/8.1.2/Developer_documentation/Using_the_Hitachi_API_for_Amazon_S3

You can find bucket-level commands in the "Working with Buckets" section and object-level commands in the "Working with Objects" section.

You can also work with your Hitachi Vantara account/partner team to get any information you need.

Sorry if I confused you. I meant Hitachi always says that HCP is not 100% S3 compatible instead of some other vendors.

I never found out, which S3 commands are not supported by HCP.

So I was hoping that there is a list of supported (and unsupported) commands. Or at least a document why Hitachi is so conservative to say "we do not support S3 up to 100%".

If any of our customers asks if the Object Storage supports S3 I repeat the same words:

"Hitachi does not support S3 up to 100%."

Next question is always which commands HCP does not support and I can not give a clear answer.
