Have you ever wondered what the 'follow' button next to the subject line of a discussion post/library resource means? This is a great feature that allows our members to follow content in real time.
When you follow a discussion post or library resource, you will automatically receive real time messages of any replies or comments made on the content item. This allows members to stay up-to-date with content that pertains to them instead of always having to refresh the site.
Not to worry, as you won’t receive real time email notifications for all content on the site, just the item that you followed!
It is important to note that if you start a thread or upload a library resource, you will automatically be following the item. If you don’t want to receive these updates, just un-click the follow button.
