    Hi Team,

    Can you please help me on the below question:

    Is Hitachi VSP G130 Support any other vendor drive?

    One of our customers wants to used third party drives in G130 Array, all they want from our side is Drive chassis and Controllers So the question is any 3rd party vendor drive is supported in Hitachi VSP G130 array or not?

    If we have the support for any 3rd party drive, then I request you to please mentioned the vendor and their part code(if any)

    The presumption you are making is that drive code on Seagate xxxx is the same for very vendor/OEM (which it's not). Most OEM's (including Hitachi) have specific code along with vendor identification in that code (so you can't insert a drive purchased off yahoo.com). Some vendors may not follow that mantra and use commercially available drives that are not code specific or contain vendor identification.
