    Hi

    I would like to collect some performance metrics using the Export Tool .

    I do not see the Export Tool / Export Tool 2 in the download area of the support site.

    Questions:

    What is/are the correct download link/s ?

    Do I need a separate version of the Export-Tool for every array type and every firmware version ,

    or do I just need the latest Export-Tool-2 for VSP-One-Block and the latest version of Export-Tool

    for F/G and E series ?

    Hi Andrew,

    Please follow the below steps to download Export Tool/Export Tool2 for any of your DKC models:

    1. Go to support.hitachivantara.com
    2. Go to Downloads
    3. Go to Hardware section
    4. Select the storage or DKC model for which you want to download the Export tool
    5. Select the Microcode version for which you want to download (Existing Micro code in your storage)the Export Tool.
    6. Then Download the Customer Tools Image ISO, post downloading double click on the ISO then you will see a folder called monitoring/monitoring2 in which Export Tool installation files will be there, please refer to the below screenshots for VSP One Block 20, steps will be same for other storages as well.

    Note: Monitoring is for Export Tool, and Monitoring2 is for Export Tool2

    This page provided the following info:
     
     
    A. I should, from a non-SVP, use the Monitor 2 Program Product (aka Export Tool 2)
    (So, it appears that Export Tool 2 is not just for VSP-One-Block)
     
    B. The tool is available on the "customer CD" .
         There are "almost current" versions of the
       customer CD ISO on the support download site.  A version of the ISO that matches my array's very new firmware
       is not on the support download site. 
    Question: 
    Is it safe to run the latest version that is available on the site or
    do I need the version that matches my array's FW version?

    It happened again:

    It appears that if the thread starter is the first to submit a reply to the new thread (to clarify the original query, correct a typo, say the answer was found ...etc), the posting of this submission is delayed ... by days

    Later on Saturday 8/2 , I submitted a reply related to my original export tool query; but, submission did not post for 2 days.
