I really need some help.
My company has several older G200 Series Storage arrays they have had shipped in from various sites and want to recycle them into the Engineering Department.
I have had a success rate of like 20% on getting them working.
I believe the order of the shelves is wrong or the DKU were never part of the original array.
They were sanitized but I am positive the disks were not uninstalled or the disk shelves were not uninstalled via the maintenance utility.
When I power it on the SVP can talk to the controller I can log into the controller via the IP though the web console but I get errors indicating the array configuration is not correct.
Through various testing and permutation I have come to realize the system comes up when it is in this last configuration in regard to the disk shelves and shelf order.
Unfortunately all the hardware was mixed up and I cant sort it all out.
How do you do a factory reset to return the controller to the profile of a standalone controller with the 24 disks it came with?
These no longer have support and Hitachi will not help me on this and placing them back into maintenance is not really an option. I need to simply return the controllers to the profile of a stand alone controller with no additional DKU attached (Disk Shelves).
Some one please help me. I have been tinkering with it for 2 days and can not find any useful information on it.
