    Hi,

Please, how to implement "account lockout", it's about locking a local user account after too many failed login attempts,
Lockout after 5 unsuccessful attempts. The lockout duration is 30 minutes. A maximum of two active user sessions.

For the following arrays : VSP 5600, VSP G370, VSP F370, VSP E590, VSP E790

    Regards.

    Hi Abdelkrim,

I am not sure about the restriction of the user session limit, but rest things you can do from the User Account Policy of the Maintenance Utility. Go to Maintenance Utility->Administration->User Account Policies, from there you can modify as per your need. Thanks

    Hi Prasenjit,

Thank you for your reply,  Yes I can implement "account lockout" for the VSP G370, VSP F370, VSP E590, VSP E790 through Maintenance Utility.
Please do you know how to do it for the VSP 5600 that has no Maintenance Utility ?

    Regards.

    Hi Abdelkrim,

For VSP 5000 series storage please RDP to your SVP server, and from there launch the Storage Navigator, there you will see an option of maintenance in the menu bar, from there you can do it.

    Hi Prasenjit,

The Maintenance Utility for the VSP 5600 has no user account policies to modify the Lockout Policies

I found that we can do it through  Storage Navigator

    1. Select Settings > User Management > Edit User Account Policies.
    2. In the Edit User Account Policies window, Lockout Policies

System Administrator Guide for VSP 5000 Series - Configuring the user account security policies

    Regards.
