  • 1.  Time synchronization VSP E1090

    Hello,

    i am looking for some document which describe firewall setting for time synchronization Hitachi VSP E1090.

    Common ports are not use. I catched: denied udp 192.168.135.28(123) -> 192.168.42.77(38769), 1 packet

    Can you help me?

    NTP requires bi-directional access on port 123. This is a known port and I doubt any specific Hitachi document to be available on this.

    Hello Zbynek

    Please see "Changing the Controller Clock" in the Administration guide here:

    System Administrator Guide for Virtual Storage Platform E Series 93-07-2x

    SNTPv4 means you need UDP port 123 open in order to allow time synchronization. 

    You can verify this on the RFC for SNTPv4 here:

    Yes it is. You can do it on the embedded GUI without SVP as well.

    Please see the screenshot below, with the Online help in the Embedded GUI giving some details:
