Using resource groups and VSM's.

    Hello,

    A customer will be using many resource groups within the VSM to better organize when setting HGID ranges and LDEV ranges.

    There is one pair of E590, and one VSM.

    Creating the resource groups is possible with Administrator while adding LDEV ID, HGID to VSM.

    It is important to have matching RGIDs on both sides though. This must be verified using raidcom commands.

    Would it be best to use Virtual SVP for this?

    Hey Matt

    Are you using GAD? Virtual SVPs and cmrest registration with SVPs help with the Global Replication report in Protector. 

    In my experiance there is no need to align resource IDs unless team has OCD and prefers it that way.
