  • 1.  VSP G1500: DKC don't get ready / unable to login SN

    Hi all,

    we had a power outage on a G1500 test system. The cache batteries have been completely drained. After the restart, the DKC does not reach the ready status on the OP panel.

    The SVP services loke like this:

    Login in Storage Navigator not possible:

    In the SVP maintenance windows the DKC is without errors.

    Any ideas what happened here and how to solve the issue?

    Reboot the SVP one time and check. 

    Also use Maintenance utility and check if there is any hardware failure.

    Hi Ingo,

    When a power outage occured, the R800 starts a Backup of SM and CM.

    When power is back and machine is restarted, a restore is done. 

    Therefor start takes longer than usual.

    If the DKC is not ready, the SN can`t be startet.

    when the batteries are discharged, it takes 90 minutes to get 30% charged, which are necessary to start.
