    Read at a lot of places that due to data reduction VDI/VSI customers do get an advantage but want to know from OLTP type of workload perspective how data reduction helps and what is a good data reduction factor for such type of storages

    For the simulation of OLTP workload, we assume the below data reduction factor for compression & Deduplication as a good data reduction factor.

    compratio=2.86
    dedupratio=1.05

    We generally consider Deduplication ratios as 1.05 and Compression ratio as 2.86 for OLTP workloads.
