You can not assign a LDEV from the meta_resource to a host group in a VSM. LDEV resource group must be the same as the host group. I'm not sure if a command device (CMD) may be moved to a VSM, but I don't see why not - haven't tried it, as my VM is on another storage array as the CMD from our VSP5600. ...

Hi Amit Yes, that is correct. Implementing VSM's will require downtime. And yes, I think this is the only way to fulfill the requirements from your audit. In your case you need 2 pools if you haven't already (one for each environment), as you also need to move the pool-volumes to the VSM. You create ...
