Is your HNAS EVS CIFS Serving instance in an Active Directory Domain ?
using the HNAS CLI:
1) Select a EVS that serves CIFS shares
evssel myevs01
2) after selecting an EVS what is the output of these lookup commands with no parameters
cifs-user-lookup-access
cifs-auth
cifs-restrict-anonymous
NOTE: do not change settings on a production EVS ... for testing / experimenting use a test EVS in a non-global context
