 PDI on Mac Big Sur

Hi, I am having trouble with PDI on Mac Big Sur, Intel chip.  I have seen many other threads here about startup troubles but mine seem to be different.

I am a long time dabbler in PDI, using it intensely for a handful of scripts once a year. This year is the first time around for my new Macbook Pro 16". In a nutshell, launching it by clicking on the icon in the Dock doesn't work.  It bounces a couple of times then stops. I have found, however, that I can launch it successfully with ./spoon.sh. It launches, and the GUI us responsive, but they top menus on the Mac menu bar are not.  At least not right away. Sometimes it takes a few minutes. So this seems flaky, and I am not very confident in it. What's going on?

Version: Freshly installed pdi-ce-9.3.0.0-428

Hi Rob

I had a number of issues myself on BigSur that improved once I moved to Monterey.  Not sure if that upgrade path is there for you.  

I also found that repository dialog boxes wouldn't fill until I'd resized them using the mouse.  That seemed to be enough to get them 'aware' so may be try something similar?

Finally, 9.3 will run on Java11 so it might be worthwhile givi ng that a try.
