Hi Jason,
for MDX queries have to clean cache too, if you called before update data. SQL queries is not required IMHO.
Pls, could you provide called URI in browser? Or try call CDA file directly in file browser if data is changed.

Hi Petr,
I checked the CDA cache manager, and I can see some queries. Then, after clicking on the "Clear cache" button the CDA cache manager displays the message "Cache is empty", but the data isn't updated.
The queries (MDX and SQL) have been created using CDE with a JNDI connection and the charts have been created using the CDE too.

If you don't see cached CDA file via manager. So problem is what you call in CDA. How is defined data access?

Hi Petr,
Thanks for your quick response.
I used the "CDA Cache Manager" and it didn't help me solve the problem either. Also, I have used Mondrian Schema Cache and Reporting Data Cache but the problem still persists.
Also, I have a script to clean the caches after the execution of the ETL processes, but it didn't help me either.
Script used:
execCacheClear "CDA" "http://server:port/pentaho/content/cda/clearCache"
I agree with you that there must be another cache where the data is stored.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Jason,
if cache is empty you can check in CDA Cache Manager.
And IMHO it's depends on used data access type in CDA file. There can be another underlay cache, ex. Mondrian, report cache.

Subject: Issue with CDA cache in CDE Dashboards
Hi,
I have a problem with the cache in the pentaho CDE dashboards, version 7.1.
After excecute the ETL processes in PDI to update the data I can check the data updated using a tool to display data, but in the dashboard the data isn't updated. If I excute the queries availables in the dashboard with other tools the data is already updated.
I cleared the CDA cache manually in the Pentaho Server (Tools, Refresh, CDA Caché), but the data isn't updated in the dashboard. Then, I restarted the Pentaho Server and the data has been updated.
I need help to know how I can clear this cache without restart the server. Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
