Trank you very much to @Ana Gonzalez​  for her recomendation..   The problem was that the font I was using was missing from system. So I added the TTF file to the $JRE/lib/fonts directory and the problem was solved.

I have installed Pentaho Server 9 on Linux CentOS, and there I publish some reports in spanish.   When I run the reports to generate a PDF, all the accented vocals (á, é, í, ó, ú) are missing. If the report is generated on HTML the character are presented correctly.   I checked in the forums but i havent ...
