Jon, what I see is that I can get files deleted and purged just fine, but folders seemed to be treated differently by HCP They are staying there (marked as deleted) and not going away after multiple GC runs. Im going to open Support case.

In the manual in Configuring object versioning it says The amount of time for which HCP keeps deletion records is determined by system configuration.

I did set it to prune after 0 days and run garbage collection (several times), which I think is what is supposed to clean it up, but so far nothing happened. I still see deleted folder in HCP DM and GUI wont let me remove the NS. I dont see where you can configure how long deletion records are kept. ...
