What's the best way to migrate NFS volumes with 100-300 million files and directories?

I'm trying to migrate an NFS volume from another storage platform onto HNAS.  We have successfully migrated all block and most of the cifs and nfs volumes.  The difficulties are with the nfs volumes with 100-300 million files/directories.

Using Universal Migrator to virtualize/migrate the volume takes weeks and we've also tried rsync just to see if it's any faster than UM.  I'm wondering if anyone has faced this type of migration in their career and what other options they used to be successful or make the migration happen a lot faster.  I'm curious to hear from other storage engineers out there.
