I am currently having performance problems doing disk-to-disk backups using SATA drives as the target.
Configuration is as follows:
9570V dual controllers with 4GB cache
6 x 400G SATA disks in raid 5 (5+1) configuration.
Does anyone have any real life experience with a similar setup that could enlighten me as to what throughput I could expect to get?
Plenty of articles mention the theoretical interface speeds and also keep stating "SATA is slower than FC" but nothing states what "actual" speeds are possible.
Any help would be appreciated.
