How can I find all the documents whose path ends with 1?
I tried the following, but it did not work.
Thank you in advance.
whether using the structured query or the advanced, you cannot have a leading wild card. Hence "*1" is invalid. "1*1" or "a*1" are valid. Also the worst thing about the query tool is that you need to understand "words". My experience suggests that wildcards are only valid for a single word. And words are the characters between delimiters. I am not sure I know what all the delimiters are but these are definitely delimiters: / _ Further - you can only use wildcards with "contains" When you want to span delimiters you use "contains phrase"
I have a path/filename of /datm/datm_rpb_sts_d0/161201103744/rpb_bob_ready.trg.Z
I mostly use Object Path so I will start with what I know well
If I query with "contains" "datm_rpb" I get 831 results
If I query with "contains phrase" "datm_rpb" I get 516 results
The second query is correct - the underscore is a word delimiter and goofs up the contains query.
d*d0 does not work because it crosses words
rpb_sts_d0 with NO * and contains phrase works
1612* & 1612*44 work with contains - that timestamp is all one word
1612*bob* crosses words so you need 2 contains clauses
1612* & bob (bob is a word between two "_")
yes each piece of filename is a word in Object Path
However if you use Object Name you can cross word boundaries
these both work correctly.
Remember - you cannot have a wildcard at the begining of the string. This does not work:
Invalid query request. Please check your query syntax. Cause: Leading wildcard is not allowed: utf8Name:*bob*
Good luck - I had to play with this a long time to understand what was going on.
