How is replication affected by changing network paths?

Question asked by Aubrey Truex on Oct 31, 2016

We were replicating via TCE over fiber channel, and now we need to redo our path due to hardware failure.

If we create a new fiber channel path with a new brocade 7800 router, will that cause TCE/Replication manager to restart our replication from scratch?

If we create a new iSCSI path bypassing our brocade router, will that cause TCE/Replication manager to restart our replication from scratch?

A second question is what is the difference in throughput using iSCSI vs Fiber Channel for replication?

Thanks!
