When removing storage from a Windows 2000/2003 server running HDLM 5.80, it appears important to set 'Remove LU' to 'ON' in order to prevent 'in error' paths from remaining. Once you have forgotten to set the value and carried out a disk rescan, there appears no way to persuade HDLM to delete the 'in error' paths.
Has anyone else come across this and have they found a solution that doesn't involve rebooting the server (which I know will solve it, but is not always an option).
As we are now using HGLAM pretty widely, the paths in error are more visible.
