Greetings,

I am wondering if anyone else has virtualised the IBM DS4000 series (rebadged LSI/Engenio) behind a USP.  Even though it is a supported system, I have my doubts on its stability.  I was under the impression that when an active/standby system was virtualised, the USP would cope with failovers and it would be seemless.  So far, that has not been the case.  I manually failed over to the alternate controller and everything went pair shaped on the host.  Other virtualised storage has been ok but they are normally active/active.  The 9585V's we have virtualised have never missed a beat and they are a similar architecture to the Engenio system.

Any observations would be welcome.

Stephen
