Writeable File Clones

Question asked by Ottfried Gottschalk on Nov 18, 2015

It should in the near future, a file system will be created that can reach a size of 50 TB.

The file system is created on a HNAS 4100. However, it should also be created a Q-system, thus we would again provide 50 TB available.
Under the link
is described that the HNAS "Writeable File Clones" can make.
The advantage would be that you would have only 50 TB of production. The data of the Q-system were only pointers
and new changes on other LUN's.
The problem is we do not know how to implement this on the HNAS.
Does anyone have any idea about this or description.
Many Thanks
