The NAS forum is not a forum that should be used to ask about array support-especially for HW that has reached end of support life. Please open a case with Hitachi GSC. ------------------------------ Albert Hagopian Software Development Engineer - Specialist Hitachi Vantara ----------------------- ...

Bottom line is that MGA for HNAS 4000 (broad assumption) series is 13.8620.10, RGA is 13.9.7021.04. Snapshots are stored on the filesystem, you don't need REST to do any such operation.  You should probably open a case with support if you want to restore a snapshot, but they will likely say the same ...

Apologies, you will need to upgrade system to latest supported HNAS, v 14.2 and switch your use to "native" mode. rest-server-mode --native rest-server-stop rest-server-start enhancements\changes are occurring within the "native" mode, within HNAS. you can download the PDL for 14.2 here, which will ...

You would have to look at the API for how it creates shares, etc - as it doing what is requested will take multiple calls. Internally within our QA/dev team, we do not have anything available to fulfill this request.

I see you are the customer who asked our APAC Technical Expert about this CVE, and to date, no one has reported any issue - just curiosity. Further assuming you have read NetApp's alert on the topic and are wondering if HNAS is vulnerable. https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storag ...

I guess the question is really relative to whether or not we are talking HNAS or strictly block level OS. the linux df man page provides:        -i, --inodes               list inode information instead of block usage For HNAS when using 'df -i' against a mount point, you are unlikely to receive anything ...

Hello Gary,  Apologies for being so late to respond, but as you have probably figured out, there is no real way to solve this dilemma. We do not support adding a ViVol at the root level. We have a CLI utility that one can use to determine, but it is a long running process and is used for a different ...

Additionally, the latest update to REST API is located here  For latest ViVol info, look here. Hopefully you are running a very recent version of HNAS where you can enable the "native" REST API instead of using the "legacy" version as we are moving to enable the "native" as the only version in the very ...

This is a very low level VLSI error which resulted in a reset. Hopefully you have opened a case with diagnostics for evaluation as we do not have any open issues with this signature. Please also remember to indicate the code version in use for such questions.

We are in the process of releasing 2 node support using HDRS within the next few weeks - planning by end of Nov '21. Please keep tabs with your local account team. HDRS with 4-node GEfN support was GA'd two weeks ago; documentation is available on SupportConnect. As an aside, this is a services/partner ...

@Lars Ekstrom Please see the comment(s) posted by @Simon Crosland and myself over the life of this thread. In other words, whats good for the goose, may not be good for the gander and a case should have been opened so the situation is understood before jumping to the conclusion that all situations ...

>>NL-SAS was the nightmare. Indeed, weve had several customers add a higher level expecting immediate results, which is not often the case(at least with an HNAS workload). Very happy to see that things are better with adding more SAS to middle tier, unfortunately thats really all that I can discuss w/o ...

If space is running out on T0, youd likely want more there as well. Would be interesting to look at HNAS (performance info report) and see how the NAS is responding to the array. Its great to hear that a 3-Tier HDT is going well for your workload. Nathan KingRobert Wood

Thanks to Salesforce, Im able to triangulate you to a recent escalation and can see that youve created a tiered filesystem and have pinned DP Vols from tier 1 of the HDP pool to T0 of the TFS. And the HDT pool is 3-tiers - not sure if Ive seen a three tiered HDT pool using HNAS as Commvault Backup target. ...

No, we do not have any LW SFP+ transceivers available on the FC interface, for the HNAS 4000 series (LW SFPs are available on the cluster links and host connections). Whilst an HNAS 4000 2-node cluster supports a max of 2 different arrays in direct attach mode, the expectation for HNAS (in a stretched ...

For reference: https://www.hitachivantara.com/en-us/products/storage/network-attached-storage-platform.print.html HNAS supports a 1PiB filesystem and 1PiB span, so your single CIFS share conceivably could be 1 PiB, though many people use ViVols/quota's to limit the view to the client. Are you actively ...

As I suspected, you should ask for the existing case to be escalated; I see no escalations into our L3/Eng team from your organization (the last one was the AS400 conversation that you inquired about a few weeks ago). By doing so, a wider audience will be engaged to provide a better answer. Could there ...

Seems like you already have a case opened with the GSC, as I suspect that is how you arrived at We have got the suggestion to turn on Global security setting instead of Individual setting on EVSs.? There is a document you should be able to locate: MK-92HNAS059-01 that covers Multi-tenancy and EVS Security. ...

Amandeep b Singh I would suggest routing this information to your local account team so that they can work with PM to prioritize the need. On my part, I have updated the requisite defect with the pertinent information from this conversation.
